ABOUT
Kelly Williams is a student-athlete graduate from Gonzaga University. She received her Bachelor of Arts with a minor in Promotion in May 2015. She was born and raised on Fox Island, Washington and graduated from Gig Harbor High School in 2011.
She was awarded a scholarship from the Peninsula Art League in 2011 for
some of her drawings and paintings. This has allowed her to further her skills in the art world, where much of her focus revolves around screen printing and drawing. Much of her work unveils the physical and mental strength needed to compete in elite athletics while also encompassing the dedication, grit, and triumph that often is a major part of the journey and challenge of running.
Kelly has been able to work with her two passions of art and distance running through Route 16 Running and Walking, a small company in her hometown. There, she designed new logos for races within the Gig Harbor community. She also promoted these races through painting images and information on the stores front windows. Some of the exhibited races include Race for a Soldier, Knock My Socks Off 5k, Over the Narrows Half Marathon, Grinch Trail Half, and the annual Turkey Trot. Her plans for the future are to land a graphic design job for a company somewhere in the Northwest and promote her own artwork.
